pLayday: Burnout Paradise now $20

So, who owns Burnout Paradise?  Would anyone be interested in playing this / picking it up as a regular pLayday title for a mere $20 clams?

It is getting a large free patch soon that will rebalance the game and add Restart as a race option (the thing holding me back):

Note: there is a soon to be released DLC that will include Kitt, Ecto-1, the DeLorean, and the Dukes of Hazard General Lee.

Let me know what you think.

  1. just picked this up over lunch. the gamestop on old sauk is out of new copies (i got the last), so venture elsewhere if you’re going to purchase any time soon. can’t wait to get home and try this out.

i’m actually very surprised that it took me this long to get the game. it was on my radar as soon as i heard about it, and my intention was to buy it on launch day, but somehow that didn’t happen. so now here i am; the game launched just over a year ago, is 1/3 of the original price, and has an impressive amount of free dlc that i’ll get as soon as i pop the disc in.

i can tell already that i’m going to sink a ton of time into this game. between this and skate 2, i’ve been on a really nice break from shooters for the most part. it’s been a while since i’ve been hooked on a game where the main objective doesn’t include shooting dudes, and i must say, i don’t miss it all that much (left4dead excluded).
