1. Hola. Just picked up Eye of Judgement at CompUSA at $10 off and a 20-30% discount. Not quite Amazon Deal of the Day, but close.

   Also, just picked up No More Heroes for the Wii today. Looks like an incredibly stylish game that may well go under radar. I could have waited for a deal, but wanted to be one of those people to propel day one sales.

2. picked up Monster Madness yesterday for $20 at target. I missed it when it was ultra clearance for $8 at Circuit City. Fun 4player coop game. A bit fast and hard to tell what is going on.

3. Just picked up Naruto – Rise of a Ninja. Don’t know why. I wanted it when it came out, but I didn’t have the cash. Now, I still don’t. But it was on sale.

   And I just saved money on a Live pack on sale,…so…spending money is an excuse to spend more?

4. went back to compusa. It is getting fun in there. You can negotiate new prices with people on the last day of their jobs.

   Got the Simpson’s Game for $35. Sweet. Co-op.

5. Josh found me a copy of Shadow of Destiny at frugal and picked it up for me. That was a pretty awesome find. I wanted to play it back in the day, but I didn’t have a ps2 then, and finding the pc version was near impossible.

   Yesterday, I also stumbled upon All Pro 2k8, 2k’s response to EA owning the NFL License on clearance at Best Buy for $8. I’d say that was a pretty cheap find. Still $20 in most stores.

   Today, while buying some baskets at target, I saw they had a sign for rainchecks on the Orange Box deal ($40). I thought that was awfully nice. I also noticed they had the option to take it on another game: Devil May Cry 4. Yup, you read right, they changed their sale item when they ran out AND offered rainchecks. That’s pretty unheard of. So I picked up a copy of DMC4. Been meaning to play DMC1 (not the craptastic 2, or the ridiculously hard 3), and I may not be able to retro game it. Perhaps I can just jump in with 4?

8. Picked up Army of Two at a local shop, and while there found Metroid Prime for 5 bucks.

   Then when I picked up Super Smash at CC, I got a $10 dollar CC Gift card. Used it on Earth Defense Force and TMNT ($15 apiece).

9. Forgot to update this on the days of purchase, but recently:

   Pac-man World, but more importantly, bundled with Pac-Man Vs. (multiplayer pac-man!) for $10

   Mech Assault 2 (always wanted to play it, and I hope to lan it some) <$10

   Dark Sector for $50 plus a free comic. This one interested me (I always liked BloodRayne). Also, the main voice actor is Lex Luthor on smallville. Don’t know why I care about that,…but I find it interesting and neat.

   Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $50 at BB (price matched a gift card opportunity with just cash).

10. picked up Endless Ocean used for $20. Mo raved about it a bit, and it’s definitely a unique Wii game I’ve been interested in trying. Perhaps it was just worthy of a rental,…but a $6 rental versus $20 purchase? Might as well just pick it up. If I bought flOw, then I could buy this.

    Ordered Ghost Squad, too. Amazon deal of the day for $17. I’ll throw that up on the list when it gets in.

11. picked up some games this last week (or two):

    Ghost Squad off amazon’s DotD for $15
    Culdcept Saga off amazon’s DotD for 25ish or so
    My brother finally got me a replacement copy for the NBA Street I lent him.
    Spy Hunter 2 and Bloody Roar 3 for $7 apiece at Play N’ Trade. Also got Second Sight for the cube, but it seems to be broken or rejecting my official Nintendo memory card… so i’ll have to return that one.

    Best pull though, I found Final Fantasy 3 at Play N’ Trade for $35 bucks. Not a ‘steal’ price, but not too bad either. Plus, it’s F.F.3. Classic. When I do play it, it’ll probably be on the gba, but having the original misnumbered version for the super nintendo is pretty sweet.

12. Oh. and I finally replaced my SNES copy of Super Mario World. Way back in the day, I traded it for Super Star Wars (also a great, but incredibly hard, game).

    Today SMW cost my $7. SSW cost $5 at the store. Guess it was a financially bad trade?

14. I picked up Persona 3 FES from amazon, because those games get really rare and hard to get later. If at some point I can find Persona 1, I (believe) I’ll have them all.

    After getting GTA4 at cc, I went back and got it price adjusted for the gamer’s club (which the original sales guy wouldn’t do). So I picked up Iron Man (which had a similar $10 dollar gift card deal). Yea, it may not be the best demo, but after playing it half a dozen times you get used to the controls. It plays like Zone of the Enders (GREAT game), but with far inferior manual controls. Instead of a lock-on, it just has very generous auto-aim. I can go into more detail another time.

    After seeing the Iron Man movie, a group of us went to target and I found on clearance:
    Lair for $30 (let’s try out that control stick!)
    and Viva Pinata Party Animals for $8. not a great game, but for 8 bucks? achievements!

15. found Sonic Gems for the cube, completing the collection of every (worthwhile) Sonic game for $15.

    While at shopko for clearance Odama ($10), picked up Boom Blox as well. Quite a fun game.

    Finally, found Wii Play for $7 from a daily game deal website from cheapassgamer. Yes! no one I know seemed to want to buy a wiimote and sell me the disc for the price difference, so getting this seemed exceedingly rare (damn my early adoption of buying all 4!)

    Madden 09, collector’s. I have no idea why I picked this up, but I should throw it in. Supposedly it’s good for new players, so here’s my chance to catch up a bit.

    Blast Works – $9 from best buy. Katamari Damacy meets Ikaruga. Awesome

    Disgaea 3 – Just picked up Disgaea 1 for psp that I started. Might as well pick this up before it becomes hard to find.

    Oddworld: Strangers Wrath – Best Buy was clearing these out. $5, Here’s hoping for BC (but really, really unlikely)

    Prey – gamestop, $3. why not? I played the beginning before and though it was pretty fun, arcade-y.

22. stranger’s wrath is my favorite game released on the original xbox. i used to check the backwards compatibility updates on xbox.com all the time in hopes that they’d emulate this one, but sadly i just gave up checking. might have to buy an old xbox just to play it once again some time.

24. Picked up Rock Band 2 at Shopko today after Circuit City sold the copy the set aside. They did give me $24 bucks, though, which I used on the drum silencers.

25. Ted picked me up a copy of The Force Unleashed at Toys’r’us for $60 + free $20 gift card. (sweet). Technically, still free, since I haven’t paid him for it, yet.

    Also got Alone in the Dark for $10 from Gogamer, in hopes the patch fixes the controls. It intrigued me before release, and looks like a fun if you can control whether you open the glove compartment or pull out your lighter.

27. picked up brothers in arms: hell’s highway from the used store nearby for $40 just a week after release. A few other places had it on sale new for that price, but I figure ‘help keep the little guy in business this time’

    also, just today, grabbed Freedom Fighters from there, which I did not think was Backwards compatible; but it is!

    Great game. Fun split screen competitive; you have a team of bots you lead around or put on stationary guns around the map and try to control territory. Really, quite a blast to play.

28. picked up dokapon kingdom. very fun though very limited (no ‘wii’ support at all). I hope to get some impressions out shortly.
    Had to go to gamestop to pick it up since no one else carried it, and i don’t think they even had any out; they just had some in a drawer. And it wasn’t even gutted.
