It makes no sense. But thanks, Attract Mode!
Split Second
This looks like a solid idea for an arcade racing game. Racers can trigger explosions and other enviromental destructions, such as bridge collapses, to take-out opposing cars.

Hold off on buying Gears 2 DLC
Looks like you may want to wait on picking up those additional maps for Gears of War 2. Just announced, there will be a retail package which includes all the current DLC, plus several new maps and a Director’s Cut of one of the levels.
Thanks, Kotaku.
This appears similar to the announcement that the Halo ODST stand-alone expansion may include all of the released Halo DLC as well.
So, kids, remember when maps used to be free? Hell, Dawn of War 2 is getting a new 2vs2 mode with additional maps. That’s even a Game of Windows LIVE game (PC DLC supported and even used for the pre-order goodies).

From Kindergartner to Rocket Scientist
Uncharted=Earl Grey. (Earl Grey is not my cup of tea)
I have an xbox 360. That is more than enough for my gaming needs. Sure, there are a few titles that are exclusive to the PS3, but they are mostly avoidable giving the length of time an average person has to live. I can only play through so many games so even if I do miss a few big titles, it’s not a problem because my list of games is ever increasing, not shrinking.
Recently though, I picked up a PS3, partially due to its media playing abilities. I’ve ranted against the PS2 and the PS1, even though I’ve owned both, so the PS3 would be no different really. I don’t have anything against it technically (unlike the PS1 and PS2 which were weaker in terms of pure 3d hardware than their contempories) but I felt the expense and the bumbling Sony did during launch did detract from it.
Now, I think it’s a solid system, and in a closed ecosystem (ie, none of my friends have a 360) I would say that it’s nice. It has a few advantages (bluray) and a few things missing (media center extender) compared to a 360, but I would be able to live with it.
Now, one of the exclusives that I keep hearing about is this Uncharted. Continue reading

Lode Runner was 800; now 1200?
Early Wed morning, Lode Runner was released to the marketplace for 800 points.
All of the advertising and announcements pointed to another 1200 point release, including the page on xbox.com. But the marketplace had it for 800.
I decided to purchase through the marketplace on xbox.com and add to my queue. Account charged 800 points.
**Price was determined a mistake, and raised to 1200 midday.** Continue reading
